Python Job: Python Developer

We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Python Developer to join our dynamic team for our client

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Position Summary-

Typical Day in the Role:
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
- Collaborate with Business Analysts who carry out the detailed investigation into software requirements and will communicate the changes required to the system
- Conferring with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities
- Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces based on business requirements
- Working with Linux operating system to complete project tasks

Must Have Skills:
- 5-7 years of Developer Experience (Front or Back end)
- 3-5 years of recent Python/PySpark experience
- Prior Financial Institution experience
- Strong Familiarity with Linux OS

Nice to Have:
- Prior Apache Nifi experience would be beneficial for this position
- Prior FI Compliance experience/knowledge also beneficial but team is willing to train

Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Time management abilities
- Ability to take initiative and work independently

Degrees or certifications:
Post Secondary Education in Comp Science or Engineering

Salary: $70.00-$90.00 per hour
